How cover-ups work
A cover-up isn't just tattooing over the old one — the new design has to be darker, bolder, and smarter than what's underneath. That's why the consult matters: your artist maps the old piece, then designs around it so the new tattoo eats the old one alive.
The process
Free consult: Bring the old tattoo by the shop (or send a clear photo). We'll tell you straight what's possible — no sales pitch.
Custom design: Your artist draws a piece built to cover, not just decorate.
Session: Cover-ups usually run longer than a fresh piece the same size. We'll pace it so you stay comfortable.
Aftercare: Same healing rules as any tattoo — see our aftercare page. Touch-ups on our work are free.
What makes a good cover-up candidate
Dark, dense old work needs a bigger, darker new design. Faded or light pieces give us more room to play. Laser fading first is an option if you want maximum freedom — ask us about it at your consult.
